Discover the best of St. Jacobs Market District
Enjoy local produce, handmade crafts, antique treasures and affordable fashion all at a single stop. A gathering place where friends and families spend time shopping, relaxing and soaking up the excitement around them.
Canada’s Largest Farmers’ Market
Located an hour outside of Toronto, the nearby countryside is home to many local farmers and crafters who bring their products to our iconic market. Since 1975, visitors have enjoyed St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market where over 300 vendors gather each week inside three main buildings and in an outdoor area that swells as the growing season progresses.
Fresh local fruits and vegetables, quality meats and cheeses, locally-produced maple syrup, honey, preserves, baking, authentic cuisine from many cultures, imported produce, various gluten-free and organic options, local crafts and housewares are just a slice of what you’ll find here. Visit our skilled and friendly butchers offering enticing cuts of meat, who will happily produce custom cuts and special orders. The St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market is also well-loved for its ready-to-eat foods prepared on site. A great place for breakfast or lunch — try some fresh apple fritters, sausage on a bun, donair kebab, pizza, souvlaki, sushi, falafel and more.

With over 100 dealer booths in 20,000 square feet, come to Market Road Antiques for a bargain, a rare item, a decorating idea or a souvenir. It’s a treasure trove of porcelains, paintings, jewelry, glass, silver, print memorabilia, books, coins, toys, and more.
St. Jacobs Outlets
Visitors can find a variety of shops ranging from women and men’s apparel to housewares and children’s toys. Enjoy everyday savings off name brands like Paderno, Corelle, Samsonite and find an extensive line of Lego toys and products at the Toy Building Zone.
Over 300 Local Merchants
The Market serves as a gathering place to purchase vendor-grown produce and vendor-made specialty foods and consumable items. Farmers and producers sell their products directly to the public, allowing consumers to have a direct relationship with the vendor.
History and Tradition
The Market is a much loved, year-round tradition in the Waterloo Region. Still home to the largest population of Old Order Mennonites in Canada, you’ll often see farmers on local roads traveling to the market by horse & buggy. In season, say hello to small farm animals, enjoy some kiddie rides, or ride a heritage railway to nearby St. Jacobs. In summer months, you can also climb aboard a horse-drawn trolley and visit a nearby Old Order Mennonite farm and sugar bush.
