This super simple recipe is great for any day of the week because it comes together in a snap! We included recommended market vendors next to the ingredients so you can navigate your shopping list with ease!
1 lb ground turkey (Belwood Poultry)
1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped (From any of our produce vendors)
1 garlic glove, minced or diced
1-2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese (Mickey McGuire’s Cheese)
1 tsp Italian seasoning, or any seasoning you enjoy (Organic Chef)
Garlic butter for buns (Simple Goodness)
Pretzel buns (Grainharvest)
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly (with your hands is best!). Shape into 4oz. patties and very lightly coat with olive oil to avoid sticking to the grill.
- Place on medium hot grill, grill 6-7 minutes per side until cooked. Don’t flip burgers more than twice (flipping, poking, and cutting the burger will dry them out). The meat should form its own crust and will pull away easily from the grill when it is done.
- When cooked, lightly cover with foil and let rest for a few minutes, this keeps the juices inside the burger.
- Cut buns in half and spread with garlic butter, toast to your preference.
Top burgers with brie cheese, herbed goat cheese (Rosy Mill Goat Cheese), gorgonzola or any cheese you enjoy. Add tomato slices, pesto, mayo, or any sweet chutney for a sweet and savory combo. Chef tip: Serve with a caprese salad (sliced roma tomatoes, bocconcini cheese, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and freshly ground salt and pepper). Kids at the table? Grab some kettle chips from the Chippery! (Their artichoke dip is great on burgers too!)
